The ASB/ASL and AHB series metal sealed actuators enhance the proven technology of the Tokin multilayer actuators by providing an airtight structure that protects the actuator from a variety of enviromental hazards. The  actuators are much less influenced by ambient humidity because of insulation from the atmosphere.The metal case is Nitrogen filled and also provides a preload for the actuator. There are several mounting options available that afford flexibility of installation.

The special features of Metal Sealed actuators:

  • High reliability: Realization of MTTF = 36,000 hours (at 85C and 100 V).
  • Airtight construction.
  • Actuator assemblies are Nitrogen filled.
  • Accurate positioning: Controllable in nm.
  • Large generated force: 800 N
  • High temperature case available (ASL series)
  • High Displacement models available (AHB series)
  • Available with various mounting options.
